My name is Travis Graham and I am a technology professional.  I will begin working on my PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Illinois in the Fall of 2011.  I’m hoping to research how companies can and should integrate technology into their core company strategies.  Even as much technology as companies use today, I believe a lot of this technology is still in it’s infancy (or at least toddler years) and the companies that will succeed in the future will be the ones that best learn how and when to use technology to their advantage.

I’m hoping to use this blog as a way to highlight some of the things I think will be interesting to research and keep myself in touch with the real world.  I’m very afraid stepping into Academia will negatively impact the way I look at problems and try to find the simplest solutions.  I want to do my best to keep that mindset and focus on that in my research, so please call me out if I get too complicated when there is a simple solution.
